Bandipur National Park is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, which has been a UNESCO-designated biosphere reserve since 1986. This reserve also includes other protected areas like Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary, Nagarhole National Park, and Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary.


Just like Bandipur National Park, Mudumalai National Park is part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, which was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1986. The park is located in the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu and is known for its rich biodiversity


Kaziranga National Park, located in the northeastern state of Assam, India, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The designation was granted in 1985 during the 9th session of the World Heritage Committee.
