This International Conference on Youth Tourism commemorative stamp issued by India Post was released on 18th November 1991 in honour of the International Conference on Youth Tourism, which was held between January 28th – 31st in New Delhi 1991.

The Conference brought together young people, policymakers, and tourism professionals to discuss strategies for enhancing youth travel. The conference aimed at promoting tourism as a means of education and personal development for young people, encouraging them to explore different cultures and build international friendships.

The 1991 International Conference on Youth Tourism was supported by the UN through its specialised agency, the World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). The UNWTO supported with the organisation and promotion of the conference, aligning it with the broader goals of the UN to foster peace, understanding, and sustainable development through tourism.
